A calm Calgary therapy room with two armchairs and soft daylight

Shi(f)t Happens

and so does healing

Trauma-informed therapy for teens, adults, and couples. I'm the owner, operator, and only therapist here — so the person you meet on the consult call is the person who does the work with you.

Something has to change — you're just not sure what

01

Your teen has stopped talking to you — and past therapy didn't stick.

02

You're holding everything together and quietly running on empty.

03

You and your partner keep having the same fight in different clothes.

You don't need to arrive with the right words or a tidy explanation. You need someone who can sit in the unfinished middle of it with you and know what to do next.

The approach

Evidence-based, and stubbornly human

Trust before technique

Especially with teens. Nothing clinical works until someone actually wants to be in the room.

A plan built for you

Whatever you're carrying — the same fight on repeat, a teen who's shut you out, or something old still running your nervous system — the plan starts with your situation. CBT, EMDR, DBT skills, and narrative work are the tools, not the pitch.

Measured, not guessed

Feedback-informed practice, clear goals, and honest check-ins about whether it's working.

Sheri Boyd

MA, MBA, Provisional Psychologist

I came to psychology after a career in business, which means I've sat on both sides of burnout, ambition, and the pressure to keep performing while your life quietly falls apart.

I'm known for reaching adolescents other therapy hasn't — teens navigating self-harm, severe depression, and constant conflict at home. I also work with adults one-to-one, couples through the Gottman Method, and organizations who want to talk honestly about mental health.
