Therapy pricing in Calgary
Clear, upfront rates — no surprises. Psychological services are GST-exempt, and direct billing is available for several major Alberta insurers.

About couples therapy →Insurance & direct billing
Most extended health plans in Alberta cover services from provisionally registered psychologists. Direct billing is available for:
- Alberta Blue Cross
- Sun Life
- Green Shield Canada
- Canada Life
With any other plan, you pay at the time of your session and receive a detailed receipt to submit for reimbursement. Every session is provided by Sheri Boyd, MA, MBA, a provisionally registered psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP), under registered supervision.

Direct billing & insurance FAQ
Do you offer direct billing?
Yes. Direct billing is available for Alberta Blue Cross, Sun Life, Green Shield Canada, and Canada Life, so in most cases you pay nothing or only the uncovered portion at your session. For every other plan, you receive a detailed receipt to submit for reimbursement.
Are psychological services covered by my extended health plan?
Most private extended health plans in Alberta cover services provided by registered and provisionally registered psychologists. Coverage amounts vary by plan, so it's worth checking your benefits booklet for 'psychologist' or 'psychological services' before your first visit.
Do I pay GST on sessions?
No. Psychological services are GST-exempt in Canada, so the session rate is the full price you pay.
What is the cancellation policy?
We ask for 24 to 48 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling so that time can be offered to another client in need. Full details are outlined in your Jane App intake agreement.
How do I pay for my session?
Payment is handled securely through Jane App after each session. A detailed receipt is issued for every appointment, whether it's direct-billed or submitted to your insurer yourself.
